Suk Yee Yong

Hello! Currently I am a Machine Learning (ML) Specialist at the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO). Prior to this position, I was a Postdoctoral Fellow in Data Intensive Astronomy at Macquarie University and was a Early Research Career Postdoctoral Fellow in the Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence Future Science Platform and Space and Astronomy at CSIRO.

I completed my PhD in Astrophysics and Masters of Science (Physics) from the University of Melbourne under the supervision of Professor Rachel Webster. My thesis focused on exploring the observable properties of quasars using simulations, statistical methods, and ML techniques.

My research interest includes application of statistics, ML, and data science techniques to solve real-world challenges.
